SBU Crime Watch: March. 25 – March. 31

All reports are taken directly from the University Police Department and cannot be independently verified by The Statesman. 

On Monday, March 25, there was a report of missing groceries in Hand Hall. The case was closed by student referral. 

On Tuesday, March 26, seven students, one alumna and one non-affiliate student were arrested in the Administration Building following a protest for disorderly conduct. They were given summons to appear in court. 

On Tuesday, March 26, there was a report of damage to a parked vehicle in South P Lot. A MV104 was completed and the case was closed. 

On Tuesday, March 26, there was a report of a missing electric scooter in the Indoor Practice Facility. The case is still open. 

On Wednesday, March 27, there was a report of an attempted phone scam in Chapin G. The case is still open. 

On Wednesday, March 27, there was a report of a missing electric scooter in the Campus Recreation Center. The case was closed after the victim refused to cooperate. 

On Thursday, March 28, there was a report of a past tense incident of a patient making contact with another patient in Stony Brook University Hospital. There were no injuries. The case was closed after the victim refused to cooperate. 

On Friday, March 29, there was a report of verbal harassment towards a student from four non-affiliate juvenile individuals in the Staller Center for the Arts. The case was closed after the victim refused to cooperate. 

On Saturday, March 30, there was a report of weapon possession in Stony Brook University Hospital. An arrest was made. 

On Sunday, March 31, there was a report of a patient making an unwanted remark to a staff member in Stony Brook University Hospital. The case was closed after the victim refused to cooperate. 

On Sunday, March 31, there was a report of a missing electric bicycle from the bicycle rack in the Campus Recreation Center. The case was closed after the victim refused to cooperate. 

On Sunday, March 31, there was a report of a patient striking a staff member in Stony Brook University Hospital. An arrest was made.
