SBU Crime Watch: Nov. 25 – Dec. 3

All reports are taken directly from the University Police Department and cannot be independently verified by The Statesman. 

On Saturday, Nov. 25, there was a report of a vehicle stop on Nicolls Road. Juveniles were in the vehicle and were released to their parents. The case was closed.

On Monday, Nov. 27, there was a report from an employee that an unwanted note was left on their vehicle in the Stony Brook University Hospital Garage. The case was closed by investigation.

On Monday, Nov. 27, an altercation between a staff member and a visitor was reported in the Stony Brook University Hospital Garage. The case was closed after the victim refused to cooperate.

On Tuesday, Nov. 28, there was a report of a possible unauthorized use of a vehicle in the Stony Brook Cancer Center. The case was closed after the victim refused to cooperate.

On Wednesday, Nov. 29, there was a report of a concerning Instagram message in Dutchess Hall. The case was closed by investigation.

On Thursday, Nov. 30, there was a physical altercation between two students reported outside Irving and O’Neill Halls. The case was closed by student referral.

On Thursday, Nov. 30, there was a report of a missing electric skateboard in Benedict Hall. The case is still open.

On Friday, Dec. 1, there was a report of unauthorized charges made to a Stony Brook ID card in James Hall. The case is still open.

On Sunday, Dec. 3, there was a report of a patient damaging a phone in the Stony Brook University Hospital Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program. The case was closed after the victim refused to cooperate.
