SBU Crime Watch: Oct. 31 – Nov. 4

All reports are taken directly from the University Police Department and cannot be independently verified by The Statesman. 

On Tuesday, Oct. 31, there was a report of a patient damaging a clock in the Stony Brook University Hospital. The case was closed after the victim refused to cooperate.

On Wednesday, Nov. 1, there was a report of money missing from a wallet in the Tubman Hall parking lot. The case was closed by investigation.

On Wednesday, Nov. 1, there was a report of unwanted phone calls and text messages in the Stony Brook University Hospital Pavilion (Bed Tower/Children’s Hospital). The case was closed by investigation.

On Thursday, Nov. 2, there was a report of a social media money scam in Greeley Hall. The case is still open.

On Thursday, Nov. 2, online scamming was reported in Chinn Hall. The case was closed by investigation. 

On Thursday, Nov. 2, there was a report of a PayPal scam in Stimson Hall. The case is still open. 

On Friday, Nov. 3, there was a report of a business flier posted without permission in the Stony Brook Union. The case was closed by investigation.

On Saturday, Nov. 4, there was a report of money missing from a wallet in Dutchess Hall. The case is still open.

On Saturday, Nov. 4, a Stony Brook University Hospital visitor was arrested for disorderly conduct.
