SBU Crime Watch: Nov. 18 – Dec. 2

All reports are taken directly from the University Police Department and cannot be independently verified by The Statesman.

On Thursday, Nov. 18, online scamming was reported in Kelly Community and Schomburg Apartments.

On Thursday, Nov. 18, a vehicle struck a motorcycle in the Tubman Hall parking lot, no injuries were reported. An MV-104A was completed.

On Thursday, Nov. 18, a Dental Clinic patient caused a disturbance after a medical procedure and was transported to the University Hospital. 

On Friday, Nov. 19, graffiti was found on a car parked in the Radiation Oncology parking lot.

On Saturday, Nov. 20, a patient struck an employee at the University Hospital; prosecution declined.

On Tuesday, Nov. 23, a student reported receiving unwanted text messages from another student in Dutchess Hall. 

On Friday, Nov. 26, a patient at the University Hospital struck another patient; prosecution declined. 

On Monday, Nov. 29, offensive notes were found on a bulletin board in the Staller Center for the Arts. The incident is being investigated.

On Monday, Nov. 29, a juvenile patient at the University Hospital struck and injured an employee. The patient was arrested on felony charges.

On Wednesday, Dec. 1, a father and son had an altercation at the University Hospital. 

On Wednesday, Dec. 1, a resident of Sanger College reported extortion by an unknown individual via social media; prosecution declined. 

On Thursday, Dec. 2, a patient struck an employee at the University Hospital; prosecution declined.

On Thursday, Dec. 2, a leaf blower was reported missing from the University Hospital. 

On Thursday, Dec. 2, a bicycle was reported missing from James College.
