In what seemed like a never-ending winter that plagued Stony Brook campus for much of the spring 2015 semester, this past weekend’s Holi celebration kicked off an unofficial start to spring. Students—and even young children—gathered at the Mendelsohn pit to throw colored powder and celebrate the spring season, similar to how Holi is celebrated in India. The event was hosted by the Hindu Students Council, and has become one of the most highly-anticipated events of the spring semester at SBU, bringing in all walks—and colors—of life.
