Student in critical condition after motor vehicle crash

On Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 10:50 a.m., a male jogger crossing against the light at the intersection of Health Sciences Drive and southbound Nicolls Road was struck by a 2018 Dodge Caravan, according to an advisory message from the Suffolk County Police.

The victim, who didn’t have identification with him, has since been identified as Noah Bernard Farrelly, 18 of Binghamton. Farrelly was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital and was listed in critical condition.

Farrelly is a freshman at Stony Brook and member of the Men’s Cross Country team. 

The driver was not injured, and no criminal charges have been filed. The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
