    Roommate

A roommate. The word can make you smile or make you roll your eyes as you think about the irritating person you currently have to share your space with. Some students choose to room with a close friend. Some choose to leave it up to fate and let the school decide. Now there’s a middle ground.

If you want to room with someone new, but don’t want a total stranger, Campus Residences has new options for you.

You could use the new Roombug program which matches you with someone who has similar interests as you. If you get matched up with someone and would like to meet them you can come to an event that Campus Residences will be having.

“It’s like a meet and greet,” said Alan deVries, associate director of residential programs and administrative services. “You can come meet the person you were matched up with on Roombug.”

These events will be happening on March 21 in the new HDV/ GLS center at 8:00 p.m. and on March 22 in O’neil in Mendelsohn at 8 p.m.

Students who have not used the new program and who do not have a preferred roommate are still welcome to come. These students still have a chance to meet other students there and potentially find their prefect roommate.
