Stony Brook Football (2-1, 1-0 CAA) had its most dominant performance in years on Saturday evening, beating Sacred Heart University (2-1) 45-7 in the Seawolves home opener.
“The main difference is our mental approach as a team, our mental toughness,” Priore said. “I think that’s going to be the difference in this upcoming year.”
Stony Brook Football’s 2017 season began Saturday afternoon with the Seawolves taking top-25 FBS team to the edge, losing 31-17 to USF on the road in a game that the Seawolves led at the half.
After a shaky start in the first quarter, Seawolves fans held their breath as the team once again looked shaky offensively, until the running game caught fire.
