This past Thursday, the lights went down in the Island Federal Credit Union Arena and students were treated to the musical styling of 3LAU and Lupe Fiasco for the "Back to the Brook" fall concert .
Nearly two weeks after a successful Icona Pop concert, the Undergraduate Student Government will host two more artists—rapper Lupe Fiasco and DJ 3 LAU—at this year’s “Back to the Brook” concert.
We are letting the many control the few and the events of the Mac Miller and Cataracs concert at Stony Brook are just the latest examples of this behavior.
The Statesman, “The Independent” and “The Press” were able to sit down with both The Cataracs and Mac Miller to talk about their careers, their personal life and their experience with the Stony Brook Concert. It’s not every year that you get a fall concert that rivals the attendance and vibe to that of the notoriously big spring concerts at Stony Brook University. But if you want something that comes close to that outcome, all you have to do is get The Cataracs and Mac Miller to perform at the second annual Back to the Brook Concert.
At 5:15 p.m., about 45 minutes after the concert had already started, students waiting to get into the concert charged Staller steps, causing the show to come to a halt and camps officials threatening to chancel the show.
