Sailing team moves up 21 places in rankings

The Stony Brook University Sailing Team started this semester ranked 43rd out of 52 teams in the Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Racing Association (MAISA). As their successful spring season campaign winds down they are now ranked 22nd. The team qualified for the Second Tier Regional Conference Championships within MAISA.

Seawolves defeat Monmouth 13-0; earn first shutout in program history

Stony Brook proved to be too much for Monmouth on Wednesday, as they were able to defeat the Hawks 13-0. It was the first ever shutout in the programs history. The Seawolves defense was unstoppable, as they held the Hawks to just four shots, and one shot on goal. Senior goalie Frankie Caridi saved the only shot she faced, despite the rain.

For the second consecutive year, the Seawolves are ranked in the Brine Media Preseason Poll. They are coming off their best season in school history, where they finished 17-3 and won their first America East title.

Two Seawolves win America East weekly awards

One player from both the Men and Women's Basketball teams won weekly awards from the America East. Senior guard Chikilra Goodman was named America East Co-Player of the Week for the women and redshirt freshman Ahmad Walker was named America East Rookie of the Week for the men.
