Fotis Sotiropoulos, Dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, will serve as interim provost and senior vice president for Academic Affairs, according to an announcement by President Maurie McInnis on Sept. 17.
“Michael and I have already developed the foundations of a strong partnership and we will continue to work together to determine the next steps for the university,” McInnis wrote.
Stony Brook University will be discontinuing its search for a new provost, interim President Michael Bernstein announced in an email sent to faculty and staff on Wed., Aug. 14.
