On Sunday, June 7, approximately 500 local residents in Freeport, NY gathered to protest in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and insist on justice for George Floyd. People were given the opportunity to speak during a community circle before the protesters began their four-hour march. Residents of Freeport, Baldwin and Valley Stream spoke about why they came out to protest and their opinions on the Black Lives Matter movement.
