A New York City police officer in Queens on Friday arrested the suspect accused of forcibly touching a woman in the Social and Behavioral Sciences building at Stony Brook University on April 30.
“The Officer encountered the suspect and took him into custody on the authority of the arrest warrant the University Police Department issued,” Assistant Chief of Police Eric Olsen said in an email.
The suspect, Miguel Angel Condori, was apprehended after a nearly month-long search.
A graduate student claimed a man approached her in a bathroom on April 30 and began to touch her inappropriately before she was able to push him away. Police later named Condori as a suspect.
“Currently, we are working with other authorities so that he can be arraigned on our previously issued arrest warrant,” Chief of Police Robert J. Lenahan wrote in an email to students.
