Student struck by vehicle while crossing Circle Road

A car accident occurred at the intersection of Circle Road and Campus Drive on Wednesday, Sept. 23. 

University Police responded to the accident at approximately 7:55 p.m., according to University Police Chief Eric Olsen. 

“Upon arrival it was determined that a resident student was walking across Circle Road when they were struck by a vehicle,” Olsen said. 

The victim was delivered to Stony Brook University Hospital by Stony Brook Volunteer Ambulance Corps and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The student was later released. The driver of the car did not have any injuries.
