Stony Brook University’s Division of Student Affairs announced via email that the monkeypox vaccine is being administered at the Edie Windsor Health Care Center. 

The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) has named Stony Brook University a point of distribution (POD) for the state’s coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination plan, making it the largest state-run POD in Suffolk County.

Donated by Audrey and Martin Gruss, a prominent philanthropic East End couple, this facility will provide critically ill heart patients with services that include angioplasty, stenting, intravascular ultrasound and Impella, a treatment designed to improve blood flow in heart failure patients who require care in the lab.
