In an unusual spring season opener for the Stony Brook women's soccer team, the Seawolves played on the road against the No. 23 Hofstra Pride in the intense annual Battle of Long Island rivalry.
The Pride and the Seawolves took the field and fought fiercely to a 2-1 double overtime finish in favor of Hofstra on Sunday, Sept. 8 at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium. Stony Brook fell to 4-2 on the season.
