Judith Brown Clarke addressed senators’ concerns about renaming Sanger Hall, and presented her department’s diversity initiatives and progress at the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) senator meeting on Sept. 16.
After three years of renovations and about $63.4 million spent, the new Union opened on campus this fall semester. The Union features three levels of newly designated areas including an office for the Center of Civic Justice, club space and an e-sports facility.
In a series of social media posts on Instagram and Twitter, the victims detailed separate incidents in which the accused sexually assaulted them. Some victims also claim inaction by the Title IX and Student Engagement and Activities offices.

USG Treasurer, Adrian Ortega, said during a USG senate meeting on April 2 that the Executive Council (EC) collectively voted on a range of $25 to $30 for the refund.
As the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to rage through New York and the world, Stony Brook University will let its students know its plans for the upcoming fall semester by June 30.
“As of early last week, SUNY had shipped to Stony Brook 200 plus computers, as a result of students that indicated that they were without access,” Barnett said.
The band finally brandished the fresh garb this past November. Until then, the band wore the original stock uniforms — often compared to The Nutcracker or toy soldiers — used since the band’s inception in 2006.
Nizam, along with around 80 other students and campus activists, gathered on Wednesday afternoon for a march to demand better accommodations for students with disabilities.
