Today was day two of my Tribeca coverage, and though it was almost equally as hectic as yesterday, it was well worth it.

I am lucky enough to have had the opportunity to try my hand as a press photographer over the past two days.  It is not something that I would ever choose to do as a profession, but it has been an exciting and interesting experience.

Today, after attending the screenings of two films — “The Trip” and “Last Night” — at the Chelsea Clearview Cinemas, I met up with our photo editor, Kenneth Ho, to shoot two red carpet events.

Chelsea Clearview hosted the red carpet for the documentary “Renee,” which tells the story of tennis player Renee Richards, who had a sex change operation and continued to excel at her sport.  AMC Loews hosted the red carpet for “The Carrier,” a documentary which depicts the struggles of a woman living in a polygamist society in the midst of the AIDS epidemic.

Kenneth and I covered both red carpet events, photographing the directors of the films–Eric Drath and Maggie Betts, respectively–and others involved in the making of the documentaries.   These red carpets were shorter than yesterday’s opening night event, and much less chaotic.

I am exhausted, but this exhaustion is the best possible kind: the kind that you feel when you feel as if you’ve actually accomplished something.

I would write more, but that is going to have to wait for tomorrow because I am reaching delirium.
