Junior guard Bryan Dougher was the only Seawolf honored at the America East men’s basketball award banquet on Friday afternoon in Hartford.
Dougher was named a member of the second-team all-conference. He led the team to a fifth place finish in conference play, scoring 12.3 ppg.
It is the second consecutive year that Dougher was named to the second-team all-conference.
Last year, Dougher was honored after helping the Seawolves to a regular-season championship and recording the school record for three-pointers in a season.
Regular-season champion Vermont took home most of the prizes, including coach of the year, rookie of the year and defensive player of the year.
Boston’s John Holland was named the Player of the Year.
Dougher and the fifth-seed Seawolves will take on the four-seed Albany Great Danes on Saturday at noon in an America East championship quarterfinal.
