Stony Brook’s men’s lacrosse team won it’s fifth straight game in style, shutting out the Albany Great Danes, 15-0, on Saturday night.
The #12 Seawolves are 4-0 in conference play this season and have clinched at least a share of the America East regular season championship. Vermont’s loss to UMBC on Saturday means that Stony Brook will be the number one seed in the playoffs and will enjoy home-field advantage throughout the America East Championship tournament.
The #12 ranking is the highest Stony Brook has been all season.
Senior Tom Compitello (Hauppague, N.Y.) led the Seawolves with five goals and two assists. Junior Kevin Crowley (New Westminster, British Columbia) added three goals and three assists.
