The Stony Brook men’s basketball team, recently picked to finish in second in conference play by the annual America East preseason coaches’ poll, will open AEC play on Jan. 2 with a trip to the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
UMBC was selected to finish in dead last by the polls, receiving a last-place vote from all nine teams–including its own coach.
A game against Cornell on Jan. 8 breaks up the conference schedule, which includes a Feb. 12 date with Maine that will be broadcast on ESPNU.
On Feb. 19, Stony Brook will host a game as part of the ESPN BracketBusters program, before wrapping up the conference season with games against Hartford and Binghamton.
