In the 42nd minute, Boston’s Jamie Turchi scored off of a cross after the ball was mishandled by a Stony Brook defender.

Early in the second half, Boston’s Lina Cords fired a hard volley 28 yards out and beat Stony Brook’s Chelsea Morales to make it 2-0.

Boston University outshot Stony Brook 18-9 in the game.

Stony Brook’s Caitlin Pfeiffer took a knock late in the game and had to be substituted. After the game, head coach Sue Ryan said she was unsure of her status.
