Stony Brook University students received the email on March 17: Residents within driving distance have 48 hours to vacate their dorms, and all other residents have only until March 20.

A steam leak in the Administration Building caused an electrical interference that resulted in a blackout across main campus on Friday, Sept. 1, Assistant Chief of Police Eric Olsen said. The blackout started at 12:20 a.m. and lasting an hour.
