Poetry can be defined as an intense way to express ideas and feelings by using rhythm and writing conventions such as stanzas, writing styles, syntax and grammar. It can also be defined as symbolic visual art because of how unique the writing genre is.
The Teachers and Writers Collaborative held one of the regional legs of their annual Poetry Out Loud competition at the Charles B. Wang Center Theater on Feb. 15.
William Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” holds a reputation for being Shakespeare’s longest play and for having some of the most famous lines in the history of theater. (“To be or not to be- that is the question” and “Alas poor Yorick, I knew him well.”)
