Long Island man runs over 320 miles for charity — and friendship

Wai Law finished his third run for charity on July 31. He ran over 320 miles in seven days, raising money for Stony Brook University’s Thomas Hartman Center for Parkinson’s Research and The Adolescent Medicine Fund for Excellence, which contributes to Stony Brook’s Division of Adolescent Medicine.

New center on campus advancing Parkinson’s research

When Thomas Hartman, affectionately known as “Father Tom,” was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, he founded the Thomas Hartman Foundation as a way of using his illness as a gift to others, raising money to support research efforts to combat the disease.
