Many restaurants have switched from plastic to paper straws to help the ongoing environmental crisis, and some cities have banned plastic straws indefinitely. I question, however, if this effort is actually making any difference.
As CulinArt announces its ban of plastic straws, it seems to be a step in the right direction. However, more actions must be taken to stop plastic pollution.
While the five cent charge for plastic bags is a smart environmental idea, a rise in the fee for plastic bags would make this installment much more effective. Would you be willing to pay two dollars for a plastic bag?
