From the earliest time I can remember, my parents always made sure I had a book in my hand. I wasn’t a video game enthusiast or an “iPad kid” — I was that kid who would rather sit on the bleachers and read a book than join in on the soccer game.
With fall sports finished and basketball season underway, baseball season is right around the corner, and the 2017 Stony Brook Baseball schedule was released on Tuesday.
Standing in the wings of the competition floor, the 17 girls of the Stony Brook Dance Team are huddled anxiously. Fingers in the sky, the team yells, “Earn it.”
Of the 184 vetoes Gov. Andrew Cuomo issued pertaining to facets of the 2015-2016 Enacted Budget, two items in relation to Stony Brook University were vetoed.
The dance team placed in the top five at the Universal Cheerleaders Association and Universal Dance Association College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championships.
For the first time ever, there will be a collaboration between the Stony Brook Opera and the Stony Brook Baroque Players to perform George Friedrich Handel’s famous opera, "Orlando," right here on campus at the Staller Center for the Arts.
