New York Sea Grant, a cooperative program of Cornell University and the State University of New York, has awarded over $2.1 million to support six coastal science research projects, three of which are being led by Stony Brook University faculty.
Lyrics like “keep on rocking in the carbon free world, keep on rocking in a green world” performed during a musical act by New York Sea Grant’s Communications Manager Barbara Branca composed the fifth-annual Energy & Environmental Conference’s main ideas.
Stony Brook researchers at the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences and Department of Ecology and Evolution have swept five out of the nine projects to be funded with a part of the $2.4 million from the New York Sea Grant for the 2012-2013 fiscal year.
