Stony Brook lands Billy Cosh as new head football coach

A month after removing former head coach Chuck Priore from his position, the Stony Brook football team has found his replacement. On Tuesday evening, ESPN reporter Pete Thamel posted on X (formerly Twitter) that Stony Brook University will hire former Western Michigan University (WMU) offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Billy Cosh.

Stony Brook eyes money guarantees in increasingly uncertain 2020 football season

Stony Brook’s season opener at MAC member Western Michigan is set to pay out $325,000 to the Seawolves. This means Stony Brook is currently slated to receive a combined total of $725,000 for showing up to play the first two weeks of its season against FBS opponents.

Football replaces Fordham season opener with FBS Western Michigan

Stony Brook added their second FBS opponent, the Western Michigan Broncos, as their season opener now scheduled for Friday, Sept. 4 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This match replaces their previously scheduled matchup against Fordham on Aug. 29.
