With a battle for early-season supremacy on the line, the Stony Brook baseball team had a successful weekend in Orono, bouncing back from an opening game loss to take two out of three contests against the Maine Black Bears from March 25 to March 27.

Due to inclement weather conditions, the Seawolves’ championship round game was suspended and eventually canceled, sending SBU home empty-handed as NJIT was controversially crowned champion by the America East as the only unbeaten team in the event.
