Stony Brook University is considering changing the academic and research side of the university’s virtual workspace from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, an idea which caused immediate backlash during the Faculty Senate meeting on Dec. 7.

On Aug. 30, Interim President Michael Bernstein sat down for an interview with The Statesman along with University Media Relations Officer Lauren Sheprow to discuss the administrative changes that are happening at the university, the school budget and more.

Margaret Schedel, a cellist, professor at Stony Brook University and composer in the audio and visual world of music has performed internationally and throughout the United States. Schedel specializes in the creation and performance of interactive media and works to compose music through an electronic medium.
