If we want to make a big change to the food at Stony Brook, it is as simple as firing the single provider that has been, by and large, a big disappointment.

The new Jasmine Tea House added during winter break has a selection of Vietnamese pressed sandwiches, muffins, tea infused scones, cupcakes and several choices of tea.

Kosofresh and Tavalon Tea, the coveted Korean food in the Jasmine dining facility located in the Charles B. Wang Center, terminated its contract on Aug. 21, 2014 with the Faculty Student Association.

Campus Dining Services is currently investigating a case involving a rusty nail pressed into the bottom of a student’s hamburger bun purchased at Wendy’s in Roth Cafe. Sophomore English major Ashley Tymann bought a junior bacon cheeseburger from Wendy’s at 6 p.m. on March 30. After taking it back to her friend’s dorm to eat it, she found the hazardous addition to her meal once she took a bite and a rusty nail fell onto the wrapper in her lap.
