The Statesman contacted some of the students and organizations nominated for the awards to ask various questions about their nominations, their campus involvement and Black History Month.
On Oct. 18, Stony Brook University’s Undergraduate Student Government (USG) posted a letter on their Facebook page claiming that the Back to the Brook Vol. 1 Concert was canceled due to insufficient “promotion of the event.”
Instead of cars, the Student Activities Center parking lot was filled with festival rides on Saturday, Sept. 15 for the Undergraduate Student Government’s (USG) third annual Wolfieland Carnival.
The new leaders of Stony Brook’s Undergraduate Student Government have been decided, with the exception of the race for executive vice president, which ended in a tie.
