Stony Brook Volleyball continued its impressive performance against America East rivals, topping the Albany Great Danes, 3-1 on Friday, Oct. 5 at home.
Sweeps were a trend for Stony Brook Volleyball at the Washington State Tournament, as the team was beaten in three sets by Illinois State on Friday, Sept. 7 and No. 23-ranked Washington State on Saturday, Sept. 8, but defeated McNeese State in three sets Friday night.
The Stony Brook volleyball team demonstrated its improved offensive prowess at the South Florida Tournament this weekend, starting off the season with two victories in three games.
“We just have to keep working hard,” sophomore middle blocker Taylor Wilson said. “We have to keep going, we have to push and we have to take wins when we can take them.”
“Our focus has been on improving since day one,” head coach Coley Pawlikowski said. “We’re getting better, we’re improving everyday. That’s all we can hope for.”
An Alabama star has been shining for Stony Brook Volleyball. In her first year as a libero, freshman Kardasia Hitchcock has been a defensive beast for the Seawolves.
