On April 25, Stony Brook University held a town hall following the University winning a proposal to build a new campus on Governors Island that will focus on researching and developing solutions to the climate crisis.
Stony Brook University submitted a proposal on Oct. 13 to become a candidate in a worldwide competition to select an anchor establishment for a groundbreaking climate science-related development project spearheaded by the City of New York and the Trust for Governors Island.
The RISE of the Jack O’Lanterns ends this Sunday and for the first time in the event's history, the final weekend will be on Governors Island, Manhattan.
