No. 18 Stony Brook hockey swept at No. 15 Liberty, winless in last five

Although its offense woke up, the No. 18 Stony Brook hockey team’s disappointing season continued with another sweep. Down in Virginia, the Seawolves were swept by the No. 15 Liberty Flames in a two-game series this past weekend. Stony Brook was blown out 9-2 on Friday night before falling 6-5 in a seesawing affair.

Stony Brook hockey seeking major bounce back after letdown season

After missing out on the national tournament for just the second time in program history, the Stony Brook hockey team looks to make its return to the big dance. The Seawolves finished the 2022-23 season 18-11-4 overall and ranked No. 18 in the nation amongst American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division I teams.

No. 18 Stony Brook hockey’s season comes to a bitter end

The Seawolves (18-11-4, 7-5-2 ESCHL) traveled to the Revolution Ice Centre in Pittston, Pa. for the ESCHL playoffs. As the fourth seed in the tournament, they convincingly defeated the fifth-seeded Delaware Blue Hens 4-1 on Friday to advance to the league’s semifinals.

No. 18 Stony Brook hockey suffers crucial sweep at Rhode Island

The Seawolves (16-8-3, 6-3-1 ESCHL) traveled to South Kingston, R.I. to face off against the Rhode Island Rams this past weekend for a two-game set. To kick off the series, they lost a highly competitive contest 3-2 in overtime on Friday night.
