With Election Day approaching, political debates are becoming more frequent in schools. These debates, however, should only voice the sociopolitical opinions of students and not teachers.
The research project was inspired by a previous study administered by Josipa Roksa, an associate professor of sociology and education at the University of Virginia, and Richard Arum, dean of the school of education at the University of California, Irvine.
