Following the historic election of Vice President Kamala Harris, Stony Brook’s chapter of Leading Women of Tomorrow met with Dr. Judith Brown Clarke to discuss the growth of women in politics with powerful positions.
“As a campus community, we will lead with purpose to build a supportive culture with our shared value strategy embedded into our actions and operational practices,” Clarke said in the email.
“I have received emails, texts, phone calls, and had ‘real talk’ Zoom conversations with over 100 individuals,” Clarke wrote in the email. “These have all informed my efforts to affect sustainable institutional change.”
Stony Brook University announced its sixth president on March 26 after a nearly year-long presidential search, according to a campus-wide email from State University of New York (SUNY) Chancellor Kristina Johnson.
