Stony Brook University is known for its success in recruiting and educating underrepresented minority undergraduate students. However, the increasing diversity in the student body is not mirrored by the faculty.
Stony Brook University’s Undergraduate Student Government Senate voted unanimously to appoint sophomore social work major Victoria Correa as the commuter student representative for the Faculty Student Association’s Board of Directors in the Senate’s second meeting of the semester on Thursday, Sept. 6.
Stony Brook’s Undergraduate Student Government (USG) is supporting an initiative to cancel classes on the day of Roth Regatta to encourage student participation in the event.
Acceptance into the undergraduate program in pharmacology has been suspended indefinitely, due to a programmatic decision from the College of Arts and Sciences, said Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmacological Sciences Michael Frohman.
