It might come as a shock to some of you that Stony Brook University is not a school made for the arts. Perhaps the abundance of science buildings with the humanities packed in a corner, or simply its reputation as an internationally renowned research university.
A Stony Brook University and an aspiring singer, Analise Buker has learned that the best way to follow her dream is without fear. The pop/alternative singer has been performing since the age of five when she made her debut at a school talent show singing “Listen to Your Heart” by Roxette.
At a time when art is a highly personal depiction of inner expression, arts organizations across Long Island are trying to make art more accessible and appealing to public.
