Audience members transitioned from being a group of onlookers to a unified body, clapping their hands in anticipation for The Stony Brook Blowage band to take stage.
On Wednesday, April 23, Stony Brook University held a free symposium on Asian Images in Comics and Graphic Narratives, creatively titled “Marvels & Monsters.” The day-long convention centered on an exhibit in the Wang Center.
On March 28, Cadence Step Team held its celebration for its 10th anniversary in the Student Activities Center Auditorium. The stage, decorated with balloons in the team’s colors (turquoise, grey and black), was full of talent that captured the loving community that is a step team.
The Staller Center for the Arts hosted an event on Saturday which featured the Krasnoyarsk National Dance Company of Siberia. After performing in more than 60 countries around the world, the group of professional dancers had its first performance on the Stony Brook University campus, which appeared to be a highly anticipated one as crowds of enthusiasts began filling up the main stage audience seating long before the actual performance began.
