SB Drive for Students – Stony Brook provides file storage for all students (SB Drive) that you can access from anywhere in the world (as long as you have Internet access). Recent additions to the SB Drive include, storage quota increased to 500 MB per student, and personal webspace http://Myfiles.stonybrook.edu/~NetID. Protect your integrity! When using public machines (SINC Sites), make sure you log off the machine so that someone else cannot access your SB Drive. For additional information about the SB Drive, visit: http://www.sinc.sunysb.edu.

Tired of seeing old classes (Summer/Spring 2006) in Blackboard? November 9th is the day you’ve been waiting for! All students will be removed from Spring/Summer 2006 Blackboard sites on this day. If there is information you need from a previous semester, you have until November 9th to print/save it.

Stony Brook has a new Podcast server . . . Some faculty are hosting podcasts for their students. In addition, some departments are creating Podcasts (Such as the Sports Report). Contrary to what some believe, you do not need an iPod to view a Podcast (although we hear many students are trying to convince their parents that they now need an iPod for school. To view Stony Brook’s Podcast directory, visit: http://www.stonybrook.edu/podcasts.
