Stony Brook University Faculty-Senate committee meetings have not traditionally been a popular hangout for students. Most students are busy attending classes and engaging in other campus activities to give the faculty legislature much consideration; some students may not even know the Senate exists.But the 13 different committees of the Senate meet monthly in the Student Activities Union once a month, each with its own agenda. Statesman attended a session of the Campus Environmental Committee to investigate the current news and views.
