Stony Brook University freshman attackman Steve Conlon (Rehoboth, Del./CapeHenlopen HS) was named America East Rookie of the Week, the America East announced Monday.
Conlon totaled seven points in two outings for Stony Brook, leading the Seawolves to a 1-1 record in conference play last week. Against Hartford, he led the attackwith a pair of goals and two assists for a season-best performance. He followedthat up with a two-goal.
Conlon now ranks second on the team in and is the team’#146;s top playmakerwith six assists. He becomes the first Seawolf to earn player of the week recognitionin Stony Brook’#146;s first year as a member of the America East.
