“They would put their arms around the younger players and give them support. It has been a long season and when that happens, it is easy to lose your focus. I think that they have done a great job on keeping the team focused and concentrating on moving forward.”

Coach Ryan on Brooke Barbuto (Midfielder):

“Brooke scores goals and assists on goals. She has developed into a player, who has tremendous defensive skills. Over the four years that she has been here that is an area that she has improved on. One of the things that I am most proud of her for is her leadership ability. She is one of our captains and she has just taken this team and put it on her shoulders. Her leadership is one of the things that have fueled and propelled us to where we are today.”

Coach Ryan on Trine Allenberg (Forward)

“Trine is the type of player that comes up big in pressure situations when we need her to. When things are not going well, she is not someone who is going to sit back and complain. She is going to go after the situation and get something done. I have been very happy with her performance, especially in tight situations.”

Coach Ryan on Amanda Hemme (Goalkeeper)

“You have to give Amanda a lot of credit for when she stepped in when Marisa Viola was injured. She really stepped up and helped us win some games when we needed it. Her performance said a lot about her dedication to the team.”

Coach Ryan on Kate Collins (Forward)

“Kate has become a force in scoring goals. She has always had great athletic ability and brings energy to our team. This year she has been able to find the net in key and crucial situations.”
