Women’s Soccer:
The Seawolves dropped a 3-2 decision to defending America East champions New Hampshire in its latest match on Oct. 2.
The offense was led by freshman Colleen McKenna, who scored both Seawolves goals.
The Seawolves struck first midway through the first half, but then fell behind after allowing three straight goals. McKenna did her best to bring her team back with a goal in the 79th minute, but in the end the Seawolves could not pull even.
The season continues Thursday at home against Vermont. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Men’s Soccer:
The Seawolves entered America East play on a five game losing streak, and the first conference game against Vermont was not the remedy they were looking for.
Traveling to Burlington, Vt., to battle the rival Vermont Cadamounts on Oct. 4, the Seawolves fell behind early, and were never in the game, falling 5-1.
Mark Secko’s goal in the 66th minute kept the Seawolves from being shut out for the fifth straight game. Vermont’s goalkeepers were able to make it through the entire game without making a save.
The Seawolves have been outscored 18-2 over the six game losing streak.
Boston University visits LaValle Stadium Wednesday night in a battle between the bottom two teams in the America East. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
