With its rhyming dialogue and engaging story, the comedic classic Tartuffe by 17th century playwright Moliere is elevated beyond the usual literary social commentary on persistent social problems. The play, which is the first production of the Theatre Arts Department’s Spring 2008 season, began its three-weekend production on Thursday night at 8 p.m. Performances will be held Thursdays-Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. in Theater Two of Staller Center. The show will conclude this following weekend from March 6-9.
