Stony Brook, NY; Stony Brook University: A Stony Brook University team of researchers led by Eckard Wimmer, Distinguished Professor, Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology, and Jeronimo Cello, a Research Faculty member in the Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology executed a research and exclusive option license agreement for the development of a new inactivated polio virus vaccine based on the novel polio viral seed strains developed by the team.
