    Volleyball Stuffs Fordham, Falls to Albany

    The Seawolves performed flawlessly in their home game against the Fordham Rams on Tuesday, September 26th. Winning easily in three matches, the showdown marked the Seawolves eighth straight win. Senior Morgan Sweany contributed 24 kills, marking a game high in kills. Stony Brook won with scores of 30-21, 30-26, and 33-21. This game improved the Seawolves overall record to 12-6.

    Sweany lead the game with an attack percentage of .420 while she also added10 digs. Jackie Ahlers also contriuted with a tally of 15 kills. Freshman Jeanette Gibbs led with 14 digs, while junior Noelle Bay added 12. Stony Brook finished with an attack percentage of .360 while the Rams fell with .168.

    Stony Brook traveled to face Albany on Saturday night. Although the Seawolves fell with a match total of 3-2 and scores of 25-30, 31-29, 27-30, 30-28, 15-11, they played very well and the players added some great statistics to their records.

    Sweany had another good game while she added 21 kills and 10 digs. Bay contributed a game high 19 digs for Stony Brook. The matches were very exciting and kept the fans on the edges of their seats. Even though the Seawolves continuously tied up the scores, Albany overcame them for their tenth straight win.
