Seawolves Track Breaks 2 School Records

Two school records were set on Thursday night at the Penn Relays Distance Carnival. Dana Hastie set a school record of 16:41.27 in the 5000 m, beating the previous record of 16:56.70 and qualifying her for the NCAA Regional Championships. The championship will be held at the end of May in Gainesville, Florida. Brian Farrell was the next one to beat a school record with a time of 14:26.10 in the 5000 m, beating the old record by 1.5 seconds. Farrell’s time qualifies him for the IC4A Championships in Princeton on May 11 thru 13. Liz Carlson didn’t beat a school record but beat her own personal best time in the 3000 m, coming in at 9:55.15 and qualifying him for the ECAC Championships which will also be held in Princeton.
